Trash talkin’ my city? I don’t think so.

I adore London. I know that won’t come as a surprise to many people who read my blog and know me well.

I yearn for it. I love that city more than peanut butter.

Yes, riding the tube frequently will give you black boogies. Yes, there are about a trillion tourists.

But living on my own in London is by far the most exhilarating thing in my life. Every day is an adventure.

That’s why when I stumbled across a Trip Advisor survey of the best and worst cities in Europe, I was truly appalled.

The Big Smoke went up in flames.

Get this:

London was voted one of the dirtiest, most expensive, most over-rated, worst dressed cities filled with the rudest people and the worst cuisine in all of Europe.

Rubbish!

London is one of the most exciting cities in the world, filled with lots of cheap (sometimes free) and fun things to do every single day. The shopping is plentiful and fabulous. I can learn to live with a full English breakfast. And, upon telling Londoners I was Canadian and not American, I was treated with the utmost respect.

Trip Advisor, your survey is completely out of whack.

Boo.
